Discriptive Writing

This is a example of my descriptive writing some was written by the author and the rest written by me. See what part of the text I started writing at.

Cold gripped the forest, fields, and moorland like an icy claw. Snow covered everything glittering faintly under a new moon.
Nothing broke the silence in the forest except for the occasional soft rush of snow sliding from the branches and the faint rasping of dried reeds when the wing swept through them.
Even the murmur of the river was stilled by the ice that stretched bank to bank.
I walked over the crackling ice then it broke the silence... The ice cracked into two big lots. I fell in the icy cold water. I felt a warm hand clamp onto my wrist. my tattered head burst out of the icy cold water. I was gaping desperately for air. The person that saved my life had blond streaked hair and a brave and bold personality. When we chatted away he kept mentioning he was the champ of everything and he rules. Well hes a bit weird if you ask me but anyway he saved my life.

Also after we had finished the descriptive writing we had someone comment on our work and this is what blair said.

Good imitation of me I am awesome but... IM NOT A BIT WEIRD!
BLAIR RULES!

Touch Typing

This is my new touch typing test that I did at the middle of term 3
This is my old touch typing test that I did at the start of the year

(double click to enlarge)

I have had a huge improvement over two terms!
The difference is. In term 1 my rate per minute is
4 and in term 3 my rate per minute is 13!
In term 1 the number of characters I typed was 15
and in term 3 it is 44!
The number of mistakes in term 1 was a HUGE 52!
and in term 3 it was a weeny 14 mistakes!
My success rate in term 1 was 0% :(
But in term 3 it is 68%! :)

So I have improved a lot in typing throughout
the year thats why every class should have digital classes!

Desciptive Writing

Lately at school we have been doing descriptive writing. Also when we were at the library we had to either be a author, book, light, teacher or a student. Either one we chose we needed to write a story about.

A week or so later we also did another activity describing the perspectives of either a student, teacher, book, the lights or an author.

Here is how my descriptive story turned out:

I am a gross smelling dusty old thing. Nobody picks me. I get exited some times because people move me all the time. While that's happening I think they're going to read me and take me to their house but it always leads me to disappointment. I have never been chosen. I am all lonely by myself on the old scruffy shelf. Oh look! someone picked me up. Oh hes issuing me out. Oh finally the joy! Oh look it morning I must of drifted of. Hang on were am I? im in a toataly different place. Oh this is scary I never want to be issued out again. I remember what my friends told me now. "I wish i haven't got issued out like you its a nightmare!" I know now. I just can't wait to go back this is total torture. We have a horrible life don't you agree?

What perspective do you think I was writing about?

You Guessed it a book!
