Discriptive Writing

This is a example of my descriptive writing some was written by the author and the rest written by me. See what part of the text I started writing at.

Cold gripped the forest, fields, and moorland like an icy claw. Snow covered everything glittering faintly under a new moon.
Nothing broke the silence in the forest except for the occasional soft rush of snow sliding from the branches and the faint rasping of dried reeds when the wing swept through them.
Even the murmur of the river was stilled by the ice that stretched bank to bank.
I walked over the crackling ice then it broke the silence... The ice cracked into two big lots. I fell in the icy cold water. I felt a warm hand clamp onto my wrist. my tattered head burst out of the icy cold water. I was gaping desperately for air. The person that saved my life had blond streaked hair and a brave and bold personality. When we chatted away he kept mentioning he was the champ of everything and he rules. Well hes a bit weird if you ask me but anyway he saved my life.

Also after we had finished the descriptive writing we had someone comment on our work and this is what blair said.

Good imitation of me I am awesome but... IM NOT A BIT WEIRD!
BLAIR RULES!
Blair Morrow.
